Sunny Day to All, It was indeed a beautiful day in Maryland. It was sunny and warm enough not to have to wear a jacket. I saw this beautiful knit fabric in Joan on Friday and thought it would be great for an Easter dress. When I got home that night, I searched my pattern stash and picked Simplicity 8834. I needed something simple but different. I didn't want a maxi dress because it's not summer yet so I thought a knee lenght dress would be perfect. I didn't think I was going to finish this dress because hubby got really sick and we ended up spending our Saturday in the ER. Thanks to God, he got a little better on Sunday and I got to finish my dress right on time for mass. YAY!!!! I got to rock my fresh off the machine dress! And the best part of my Easter was the fact that he was able to join me for the service. I rocked it with my BCBG purse, gold jewelry, my Prada shades and my green Michael Antonio sandals (old). Enjoy these few pics. About the PatternSimplicity 8834 was very easy. I chose view C and cut size 12. I didn't make any alteration to the pattern. The instructions were very clear and precise. This sewing journey is becoming easier. This is the first time I used my rotary cutter and I must admit, I am a fan. I will never go back to cutting with scissors. Well, never say never.... Happy Sewing to you and thanks for stopping by.
