My Welcome Back Dress: Vogue 9021

Sunny Day to All,

As promised, I am back to share this beautiful dress that I made during this difficult time of my life.  I needed to sew to bring a smile to my face again. And it did. I chose a pattern that I knew I could finish rather quickly, Vogue 9021. I had this beautiful fabric from GStreet Fabric. It was just about 2 and half yards. The beautiful black and white pattern made it easy to style.  I wore it to work on this special day and felt absolutely beautiful. I had a special glow... Before leaving home, hubby hugged me and told me that I was the most beautiful woman in the world. I remember that special morning very well. Of course, he was kind enough to capture some pictures for me in my yellow heals before I quickly switch to my flats. A sister had to take the pictures in those yellow heels to match the beautiful necklace.   I got plenty of compliments and was extremely productive at work that day. My day ended at the Shrine in DC as I wanted to attend mass before the end of the day. I am smiling just thinking about that day. I will leave you with pictures of this special dress. Enjoy!

About the Pattern

Vogue 9021 was the perfect pattern. If you are looking for something easy, this is it. Warning; you will have to wear a tank underneath as your entire side is out. Some chooses to close up the side so feel free to do so. I like to follow a pattern and then decide what I would do differently next time. I cut a side 14 and picked View A. I made it a little loose since I wanted to be able to wear it to work.  The next version of this pattern will be tighter and might actually be a little shorter. I definitely will make this again very soon. Thanks for stopping by and Happy Sewing to you!

I am trying to find something not to like in this dress and for the life of me, I can't. This dress is a show stopper! The yellow accessories brought some joyful energy to the classic black and white tone of the dress. The only thing that I would do to this dress (since you have worn it already) is to tailor it to my size lol. As usual, you stayed true to yourself: beautiful, classy yet sexy.

Awwww My Love... Thank you so much. You have always been very supportive. I really do love this dress. It is a little bigger than my normal size since I gain so much weight this summer. You can get whatever you want girl.... Thank you so much for being so supportive.

This is one of the events that I have been looking forward to participating. I mean, it is not always that you can wear awesome dresses like these. I wish to be sponsored by a person who can make me the best version of myself. I understand that it is not easy to do it, but it is what I want to try out. Please, let me know if you have things that you can help me to be better, man.
