Sunny Day to All, I was invited to a Birthday Dinner in Manhattan and was in need of a cute outfit. I had this see-through fabric in my stash. I can't remember where I got it from but I had this Tunic idea in mind. Simplicity 8138 did the job just fine. I paired it with my Jessica Simpson ripped jeans, blue pumps and accessorized it with rose gold. I didn't get to take many pictures but I still wanted to share. About the Pattern This was only 3 pattern pieces. It was fun sewing it with this particular fabric because I had to play around with the placement of the flowers and matching the lines. I cut size 10. I used my serge to finish the edges and wore it just like that. It came out really cute. Let's just say, i didn't get to come back home with it. Ha! Happy Sewing to You!

Sunny Day to All, I was invited to a black and/or white birthday party and was in need of a beautiful outfit. I could easily buy one but this sewing journey has been so fulfilling that I decided to put something together quickly. I pulled these two fabrics from my stash and this is what I came up with. This was actually self-designed; it's basically a high waisted skirt with two bands in the front. I actually added a split in the back (suggestion from my sis Meli). I loved the outcome and my husband loved it as well. Enjoy these few pics and as always, Happy Sewing to you!
