Sunny Day to All,

I feel like I am fully recovered but according to my doctor and everyone else, I am not. I am still not lifting anything heavy, not back to working out yet and taking as many precautions as possible. But ya girl is sewing. I haven't shared too much but I am committed to sewing a lot more of what I would wear often. I am excited about this decision.

Welcome to my 2020 Sewing Journey. A smooth fancy peach sweater knit and McCall 7800; Perfect combination for this pattern. I made a Cardigan with this fabric and had so much more left. Click HERE to see the Cardigan.  This pattern was super easy. The sleeves were everything.   I totally see myself making more of this pattern with other fabrics. I chose to pair this beautiful dress with black heels, black stockings  and rose gold jewelry. Enjoy these few pictures.

MCCall 7800 is one easy pattern. If you are learning how to sew, jump on this one. It's just a few pieces and you are done. I followed the instructions but this time, I cut size 12 and it was perfect. The instructions were very easy to follow. Sunny Day to All,

It is supposed to be winter but it feels great outside today. I woke up feeling good and thought why not wear my dress and ask hubby to snap a few pictures before I head to work. You guys know  I enjoy wearing suits to work. Well, I started my year a little different. Originally,  it was because of the surgery, I didn't feel comfortable wearing anything that could rub on the belly because of the scars. But I have been enjoying my dresses. I decided to add a few more to my collection. I had 2 yards of this fabric that I purchased from GStreet Fabric in Rockville MD. Vogue 8894 was very simple and classy enough to wear to work or to a brunch with the ladies.  I chose to pair it with my black heels, gold jewelry and my Prada shades. I was feeling myself that day!!! Enjoy these few pictures. OH, I know you noticed the new hairdo. LOL

V8894 is easy as long as you have no issue following curves sewing. I cut view B in a medium. View A is beautiful as well. I will be making it soon.  Cheers to a beautiful Wednesday night! Happy Sewing to You!!!!
