Sunny Day to All, It is, indeed, a beautiful Wednesday. I am feeling nothing but positive energy today. It is summer time and yes, we have to quarantine. It sucks but why not make some comfortable clothes like shorts. I can wear those as home or dress them up as shown in the pictures below. Those shorts are self-drafted. I am practicing sewing pieces from left over fabrics. I am inviting all sewists like me to sew their stash instead of storing fabric that we already have and buying more fabric. Also, I will be sewing a lot more comfortable clothes than usual since we are not really leaving the house these days. I made a romper with this fabric previously (HERE). The details about the romper is being provided on that previous blog post. Enjoy the few pictures below. Thanks for stopping by my blog and don't forget to say Hello.
Happy Sewing to You!

Sunny Day to All,
Who would have thought that I would have spent 3 months making masks only? Oh, How I miss sewing... So this Coronavirus hits the world and I, the sewist, felt obligated to sew for my love ones. Little did I know, I was going to be making hundreds of masks. Masks took over my life. I enjoyed sewing for the family. I felt like I was helping and I also felt that I was able to provide a service to others. But then, it all started slowing down and then I was no longer able to find interfacing and elastic anywhere so I took this as the time to stop. It became a little stressful and sewing was my zen, meaning no stress zone. I had to stop.... I have attached a few pictures but I have made so many more masks then those being showcased below. Enjoy those few pictures. Happy Sewing to You! Sunny Day to All, I feel like I am fully recovered but according to my doctor and everyone else, I am not. I am still not lifting anything heavy, not back to working out yet and taking as many precautions as possible. But ya girl is sewing. I haven't shared too much but I am committed to sewing a lot more of what I would wear often. I am excited about this decision. Welcome to my 2020 Sewing Journey. A smooth fancy peach sweater knit and McCall 7800; Perfect combination for this pattern. I made a Cardigan with this fabric and had so much more left. Click HERE to see the Cardigan. This pattern was super easy. The sleeves were everything. I totally see myself making more of this pattern with other fabrics. I chose to pair this beautiful dress with black heels, black stockings and rose gold jewelry. Enjoy these few pictures. About The PatternMCCall 7800 is one easy pattern. If you are learning how to sew, jump on this one. It's just a few pieces and you are done. I followed the instructions but this time, I cut size 12 and it was perfect. The instructions were very easy to follow. I have been extremely busy but I am happy to share this last make with you guys. Hope you enjoyed the pictures. Happy Sewing to you!
Sunny Day to All, It is supposed to be winter but it feels great outside today. I woke up feeling good and thought why not wear my dress and ask hubby to snap a few pictures before I head to work. You guys know I enjoy wearing suits to work. Well, I started my year a little different. Originally, it was because of the surgery, I didn't feel comfortable wearing anything that could rub on the belly because of the scars. But I have been enjoying my dresses. I decided to add a few more to my collection. I had 2 yards of this fabric that I purchased from GStreet Fabric in Rockville MD. Vogue 8894 was very simple and classy enough to wear to work or to a brunch with the ladies. I chose to pair it with my black heels, gold jewelry and my Prada shades. I was feeling myself that day!!! Enjoy these few pictures. OH, I know you noticed the new hairdo. LOL About the PatternV8894 is easy as long as you have no issue following curves sewing. I cut view B in a medium. View A is beautiful as well. I will be making it soon. Cheers to a beautiful Wednesday night! Happy Sewing to You!!!!
Sunny Day to All, It's onesie season! I usually host onesie nights at my house every year. This time, I asked hubby to wear one as well and he challenged me by stating that he would only wear a onesie if I made it. I have never sewn anything for hubby before. So this was my time to show off my skills. We headed to Joann Fabric where we purchased the fabrics for both our onesies. Click Here to purchase Hubby's fabric and Here for mine. I also picked up McCall 7518 which was perfect for this challenge. Let's just say that I got some cool points for making this happen. Onesie night was a success! Enjoy these few pictures. About The PatternMcCall 7518 was very easy. I used size medium for myself and for the Hubby I made some alterations based on his measurements. Hubby does not like anything tight. So I cut the Extra Large and added 1 inch around the waist area and half inch for the chest area. I really like this pattern because it comes with pockets and has cuffs so I can easily use this pattern to make some hoodies for the winter. Now time to enjoy some hot cocoa in our onesies. Do you guys wear onesies? Let me know... Hope you enjoyed the pictures and thanks again for stopping by. Happy Sewing to you!
